Roya Hmood is an Iraqi-Canadian visual development artist. She has a passion for animated storytelling, and she finds inspiration in underground Toronto bathrooms, blue Islamic architecture, and electronic music.
Since 2024, she has acted as the co-producer and art director for the TAAFI award-winning short film "On the Line," worked in visual development at Spin Master Entertainment, and produced her independent film "Poppy's Garden."
Roya is the proud valedictorian of Sheridan College, where she graduated from the Honours Bachelor of Animation program (2026).
